NORTH PORT, Fla. — Two women were arrested for abusing a child at a North Port daycare. According to the North Port Police Department, they received a report from a parent that their child had visible marks and bruises after attending the Building Blocks Children's Center located on Toledo Blade Boulevard. After the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Florida Department of Health conducted an investigation, they were able to locate the alleged abusers. Investigators discovered that Evelyn Jennings, 51, grabbed the 3-year-old child by the arms and legs.
